An introduction, of sorts

Hi there! So this is my attempt to start a blog to ramble on about my time at med school and just generally throw words into the blogosphere.

Blogging is always something that I've mahoosively enjoyed reading and have always wanted to try out. I also feel that particularly for us British graduate medical students (bit of a mouthful) there is less information out there. Now most likely this will consist of me blabbering on, but maybe through that I can in some way share my own experiences, even if just with myself.

I will be a first year medical student at a UK medical school, starting September. I previously studied Biology at a university in London, making me a graduate med student! In case any of you don't know (or don't work under the UK system), students here usually study a 5 or 6 year degree to get their medical qualification. However, in a similar manner to the US, there are several 'accelerated' 4 year courses available to those who have previously studied another degree.

I'm currently on my summer break and so I'm just trying to relax as much as possible before the madness begins in September! The plus side of this is that we actually had a summer this year in the UK. Thank god! I'm not sure about how often I'm going to try and write these but I'll try my darndest to post as much as possible. So...ta ta for now!
